Oakville students protested the proposed power plant. Seems there are many people who are very upset with the recent decision to build a power plant so close to homes and schools it now includes students.
The Province needs to guarantee Oakville that the air quality will not suffer with the building of the gas fired power plant.
Oakville residents are concerned about the proposed power plant now slated to be built in ‘our backyards’.
The Town wants the Province to examine its environmental legislation noting that the Environmental Assessment Act (EAA) self accessment process is inadequate to protect our environment. [Read more...]
