Loyola Must Obtain Approval for Lighting

The Halton Catholic District School Board lost its battle not  to obtain site plan application for field lighting at St. Ignatius of Loyola Catholic Secondary School.

The Ontario Municipal Board (OMB) ruled in favour of the Town stating lighting changes cannot proceed until a site plan application is received and approved by the Town.

This decision is seen to some residents as a victory as they were opposed to the lighting.

The Catholic School Board were frustrated because they stated to have been told during pre-consulation that an application was not required but once construction began, the Town stated they did.

Although the lighting has already been purchased, the school board meets on Nov. 17th to determine whether to apply for additional lighting.
