Oakville students protested the proposed power plant. Seems there are many people who are very upset with the recent decision to build a power plant so close to homes and schools it now includes students.
Over 400 students and residents turned out to a protest from Oakville Trafalgar High School on Devon Drive to the Chishold Educational Centre on Cornwall Road.
It is one of the first times students have been protesting on what has turned out to be a very controversial decision to house this plant in our community.
Once the students were finished their protest, they were greeted by music, hot chocolate and pizza at the Chisholm Educational Centre.
Let us know what you think about this power plant coming to our community.
