Palermo Public School continues to recruit for ‘discovery’ artifacts for the new school being built in the Palermo community. The size and use, however, has changed since the concept was first introduced.

The plan was to have the artifacts collected by the community inserted inside glass blocks that would surround each classroom door. Due to costs, limitations, etc. the plan has now been changed. The artifacts will be housed in semi-permanent sidelight display areas next to each classroom door. The advantage of this option is that the size of items collected has increased and the items can be changed annually or as curriculum changes.
Artifacts can now be 19 inches (length), 16 inches (width), 2 inches (depth).
A tax receipt of $25.00 or more will be issued for donations.
